
News broke earlier this week that Sony was working on a new PlayStation VR headset. To date, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has sold more than 5 million copies since its April 2020 release.

That new version of the game was announced yesterday at State of Play, alongside the RPG's next episode, Intergrade.

It looks like folks who download the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PlayStation Plus can't upgrade to the PlayStation 5 edition free of charge, however. While this isn't exactly confirmation that this is what March's monthly games are, the fact that PlayStation deleted the Facebook post almost straight away, coupled with news of Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to PlayStation Plus on PSN Japan, it looks almost set in stone. That last game is set to launch on March 2. That's alongside fellow PS4 game Remnant: From the Ashes and PlayStation VR title Farpoint, while the PS5 version of upcoming puzzle title Maquette is also coming to PS Plus next month. That's according to a now-deleted post on the Netherlands Facebook page for PlayStation - spotted by Twitter user Nibel - which shows that the PlayStation 4 version of Square Enix's iconic RPG is launching into Instant Game Collection in March.
